TeleText by Philips Semiconductors is a standards-compliant software package for decoding, processing, and displaying broadcast teletext data on televisions and embedded consumer devices. Designed to integrate tightly with Philips teletext and VBI decoder chipsets, it delivers reliable World System Teletext (WST) functionality with efficient page acquisition, caching, navigation, and on-screen rendering. Its compact API and configurable footprint make it straightforward for OEMs to add teletext services, subtitles, and information pages to TV, VCR, and set-top box platforms.
